Summer Art Rituals

Hey, hello there, friend!
Sometimes, creativity doesn’t come from sitting in the studio — it comes from stepping outside.
After taking a little break from the online noise, I’ve been craving a return to simplicity. A way to feel inspired without overthinking. So I started a tiny ritual this week that brought me back to myself: a summer color walk.
Here’s how it works (and feel free to try it too): You pick a time — morning, afternoon, golden hour — and take a walk through your neighborhood with one intention: to notice color. That’s it.
The soft pinks hiding in the sidewalk chalk. The burst of flowers by your neighbor’s fence. The turquoise tiles you’ve passed a thousand times but never really saw.

I like to bring my phone (camera only, no scrolling!) and snap a few pictures of what stands out. Sometimes I collect color combos that later show up in my jackets or paintings. Sometimes, it’s just a moment of beauty I needed to witness.
This small ritual reminded me that inspiration doesn’t have to be grand. It can be found in a single petal or the way the sun hits a rooftop. And that’s the magic of summer — everything feels a little more alive when we slow down enough to notice.
So this week’s creative prompt is simple:
Take a walk.
Look for color.
Let it move you.
And if you try it, tag me or send me a pic — I’d love to see your version of a neighborhood palette.
Color Your Life!
