Why I’m Creating Art Without Deadlines This Summer

Hey, hello there, friend!
There’s something about summer that makes everything feel a little lighter, isn’t there?
Maybe it’s the longer days, the salty air, or that post-beach glow — but I’ve been craving a slower rhythm. A rhythm that still feels creative, just… softer. More intentional. Less go-go-go, more let’s see what unfolds.
Lately, I’ve been letting myself wander a little more — in my neighborhood, in my imagination, and even in my color palette. I’ve returned to one of my favorite rituals that I shared last week: the color walk — where you take a walk and let one color guide your attention. It’s such a simple way to reconnect with beauty and creative energy.
How can I make life feel like art — even on the most ordinary days? That’s what I keep asking.
And this question is shaping my art too.
I won’t be releasing a new collection with a set launch date anytime soon. Instead, I’m allowing myself to post new work as I create it — pieces that feel different, more intuitive, and more connected to the moment I’m in.
If you’re feeling a little stuck or simply want to play more with creativity this season, I just shared a new Instagram post with 50 fun ways to boost your creativity — no phone required. It's for art collectors, artists, dreamers, and anyone who wants to feel more alive.
You can check it out here. Let me know which one you’ll try first!
So here’s your gentle invitation: romanticize the small stuff this week. Wear the fun clothes. Light the candle. Buy the artwork. Go on a color walk. Surround yourself with the hues that lift your spirit. That’s the vibe I’m chasing. And you’re invited too.
And if you feel like peeking at what’s quietly blooming in the studio, you can explore what’s new right here.
Color Your Life!
