If Christmas Day Had a Color Palette

Hey, hello there, friend!
This time of year always makes me slow down a little. It invites a pause. A deep breath. A moment to look back and really feel everything that shaped the past months. Whether you’re celebrating a holiday, wrapping up the year in your own way, or simply moving through a quieter season, there’s something gentle and meaningful about being right here, right now.

If you’ve been around my work for a while, you know my end-of-year paintings are a bit of a ritual for me. They’re not about traditional holiday imagery. They’re about where I’ve been. Emotionally, creatively, physically. Each piece carries the colors, textures, and rhythm of my life in California, along with the lessons, joy, and growth that showed up this year.
Living by the ocean, under big skies and golden light, has completely shaped how I see and create. So instead of winter scenes or familiar symbols, my paintings lean into warmth, movement, and openness. It’s my way of honoring this season through sunshine, color, and feeling—no matter how you personally experience it.
One of my favorite parts of this tradition is turning these paintings into handwritten postcards. Each one is chosen with intention and sent with so much gratitude. They’re small, yes, but they carry a real piece of my heart. It’s my way of reaching out and saying, thank you for being part of this journey.
Beyond any specific holiday, this ritual is really about connection. About art as a bridge. About honoring the relationship between artist and collector, and the shared energy that makes this work possible. It’s a reminder that creativity can be a quiet form of presence, even from afar.
So wherever you are, and however you’re closing out the year, I hope these pieces meet you with warmth, color, and a sense of possibility. Thank you for being here, for supporting my art, and for letting it live in your world. the holiday season!

I wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season!
Color Your Life!
