What Happens After You Birth Beauty (and No One Buys It Right Away)

Hey, hello there, friend!
On Monday (April 28th), I released something really close to my heart: a new painting collection called Birth Beauty - a celebration of homecoming, creative renewal, and everything I've healed through. And if I'm being completely honest with you... No one bought anything. Not yet.
I hesitated to share that because, as artists, we're taught to focus on the highlight reel. But this? This moment right here - the quiet, the uncertainty, the pause after the leap - is part of the creative path, too.
Birth Beauty wasn't created for applause. It was created because something in me needed to return. To the ocean. To my studio. To the version of myself who paints what she feels - honestly, intuitively, vulnerably.
Birth Beauty came to me as Mother's Day approached - a time that brings up a lot of emotion, reflection, and reverence for the feminine.
I made the conscious decision not to become a mother in this lifetime. And for a while, I wondered what that meant for my connection to feminine energy.
But over time, I've learned this truth: You don't have to give birth to a child to bring beauty into the world. You can nurture visions, grow ideas, and protect sacred spaces. You can midwife healing, pour love into your community, and plant seeds that bloom long after you're gone.
That, too, is maternal energy. That, too, is powerful.
This collection honors that quiet power—the force that creates without permission - the part of us that says yes to beauty, even when no one is watching. The part that rises even when it's tired. The part that paints even when it's unsure. That gives and gives—and still finds more to offer.
So yes, I launched this collection. And no, it hasn't sold yet.
But that doesn't mean it wasn't worth it.
Art is never wasted. Beauty is never wasted.
Every painting in this collection holds a piece of that energy.
It's not just coastal California - it's a vibration, a reminder, a homecoming. So, if one of these pieces has been whispering to you, this is your invitation to listen - maybe you're ready to bring something sacred, soft, and radiant into your space.

It's my way of celebrating Mother's Day and the beauty we're all capable of nurturing - no matter what we choose to create.
