New Collection Drops Monday: Embrace the Spirit of Motherhood

Updated: May 7

I'm so excited to officially announce my newest painting series—arriving Monday, April 28th at 11 AM PST—just in time for Mother’s Day. This collection is all about rebirth, beauty, and coming home to what matters. It’s rooted in emotion, nature, and the California coastline I love so much.

Behind the Scenes: The Birth of a Collection

Let me take you behind the scenes of how it all came to life…

There’s a force within us—quiet, fierce, intuitive—that knows how to bring beauty into the world. This beauty emerges not just through children but also through ideas, movements, healing, and color.

This is the creative life force, the one that whispers, “This matters,” before we can explain why. It moves through the brush when I paint. It rearranges chaos into color, pain into form, and longing into light.

The Essence of Motherhood

As Mother’s Day approaches, I’ve been reflecting on what it truly means to be a mother. To me, it’s not limited to biology. It’s an energy.

It’s about how we protect what’s sacred. It’s how we nurture what wants to grow, and the act of saying yes to the invisible before it becomes visible. Sometimes, it feels like a fire. It’s the fire that burns for authenticity, the one that says, “I deserve to take up space.”

This week, I’m honoring that energy with something special: A new collection of 8 paintings will be released on Monday, April 28th, at 11 AM PST.

A Journey of Discovery

These paintings were born from a moment of clarity. While cleaning my studio after my last workshop, I realized I didn’t have anything that felt like home. Not really. No lifeguard tower in sight (except the one that got returned—if you know, you know), not even a palm tree. I’ve experimented, explored, and stretched myself in new directions, but the pull to return to my California roots was undeniable.

After spending time with my mother and family in Brazil, something deep within me shifted. It was beautiful, yet I returned feeling distant and disconnected from the place I’ve chosen and loved for 17 years: the South Bay.

Finding My Way Back Home

No matter how many beach walks or coffee dates I had at Pier Plaza, something was still missing—until I started painting again. This new series is my way back home. It captures spring energy, forward movement, and local beauty through a vibrant, emotional lens.

It’s the ocean, the sun, the palms, and the piers—seen how I feel them.

The Act of Creation

In many ways, birthing beauty is about an act of faith—a return to what’s real. It’s about noticing what’s missing and creating something that makes us feel whole again. Whether you’re birthing a painting, a business, or a new season of life—or simply the courage to begin—you’re doing something sacred. I hope this collection serves as a reminder of that.

Because beauty doesn’t need permission. It just needs presence.

Celebrating the Simple Joys

Motherhood, in its many forms, is worth celebrating. It brings warmth, joy, and a sense of fulfillment. Whether you're a biological mother, a guardian, or a mentor, your nurturing spirit is powerful.

As we approach this special day, I invite you to take a moment to honor your journey. Reflect on your own experiences and the unique relationships that have shaped you.

In a world filled with chaos, nurturing a sense of beauty is vital. It's not just about creating art—it's about cultivating moments that fill your soul.

So, what will you create this Mother’s Day? Maybe it's a small gesture, a piece of art, or simply taking time for yourself. Remember, the act of creating beauty is sacred.
