How to Choose the Right 'RIPPLE' Art (Without Overthinking It)

Hey, hello there, friend,
If you've visited Ripple in person or explored the collection online, you may have noticed something interesting: choosing a favorite isn't always easy.
In fact, over the last few weeks, one of the most common things I've heard is: "I keep coming back to the same few paintings, but I can't decide."
As an artist, I love hearing that. Not because I enjoy making your decision difficult, but because I believe collecting art is a little different from shopping for most things.
You don't need to understand every brushstroke. You definetly don't need to know why a piece speaks to you, and don't even need to have the perfect wall picked out yet.
More often than not, the painting chooses you before you choose it.
So if you're trying to decide which Ripple piece belongs in your life, here is a simple four-step process that might help.
First, ask yourself which painting keeps pulling you back.
Not the one you think you should choose, and not the one that seems like the most practical decision, but the one you find yourself revisiting again and again. When people walk through an exhibition, there is often an immediate connection before the logical mind starts weighing all the details. Pay attention to that first response because it usually tells you more than you realize.
Second, consider which painting feels most like your current chapter.
Art has a beautiful way of reflecting where we are in life, not just where we've been. Some pieces feel calm and grounding, while others feel expansive, hopeful, playful, or full of movement. The painting you connect with most deeply is often mirroring something you're experiencing, seeking, or growing into right now.
Third, ask yourself which piece you would miss if someone else bought it today.
This is one of my favorite questions because it tends to reveal the answer surprisingly quickly. When you imagine a painting no longer being available, you often discover which one has already found a place in your heart. The piece that creates that little feeling of disappointment at the thought of losing it is usually worth paying attention to.
And finally, imagine the painting hanging in your home and trust your first response.
Picture yourself walking past it each morning, seeing it across the room in the evening, and living with it as part of your everyday environment. How does it make you feel? The painting you connect with emotionally is often the right one, because art is not simply something you look at, it becomes part of the atmosphere you live within every day.
There are 100 paintings in Ripple, but only a handful will truly feel as though they are speaking directly to you.
Which one keeps calling your name? And if you're still undecided, send me a message. I love helping collectors find the piece that feels like home.
Ripple remains on view through July 12th, and whether you're collecting your first piece or adding to an existing collection, I hope you find the painting that's been waiting for you.
