Hello hello, friend!
Here's how I got started as an artist When I was about 16 years old, my Italian father made it very clear that my siblings and I needed to start working, gain responsibility, and learn how to deal with our money. I was in shock! Mainly because I had no idea of the type of work I could even start looking for it.
It was effortless for my brother and sister to decide quickly to help my father at his former recycling company. I refused because I knew deep down that it wasn't a good fit for me.
My family thought I was a rebel! But, truthfully, I was just honest. It was not until my mother had a brilliant idea that I softened my 16 years old ideologist free spirit brain. Her idea was to start selling my paintings to all of her friends and family! Yay!
I'm still not sure if she did that because she was getting tired of all of the canvases spread in the house from my years going to art school or because she knows her daughter well. Ever since, one of my favorite things to do still is to paint custom artworks. I owe her that! :)
Color Your Life!
Love, Drica
