Part of Second Light — March 2026 Edition, this painting was revisited in the studio and transformed with the addition of the moon while preserving the original flow of the wood.
 
STUDIO NOTES
 
While revisiting this piece, I felt inspired to add the moon, allowing the composition to expand while still respecting the natural surface of the wood.
 
Instead of covering the grain, I intentionally kept parts of it visible. The patterns in the wood already carry their own movement and rhythm — almost like waves shaped by nature itself.
 
There’s something magical about letting the material speak. Sometimes the painting is not about controlling every detail, but about collaborating with what already exists.
