STUDIO NOTES: I’ve lived in Hermosa Beach for almost 19 years, and I had never painted the boardwalk before.I remember when I first moved here, I instantly fell in love with this town. The ocean, the light, the creativity, the way art lives not just in galleries but out in the open, woven into everyday life.
 
This building has always caught my eye because of its giant tile mural, such a beautiful, unexpected piece of art right on the boardwalk. And if you look closely, at the beach part, you’ll even spot a tiny lifeguard towers into the scene, one of those small details that makes this place feel so alive to me.If you love beach walks, boardwalk strolls, and that feeling of wandering with nowhere to be… this one is for you.
