STUDIO NOTES: Yes… another cat. Because duh, people LOVE them, I LOVE painting them, and they keep selling out! This piece is a recreation of a design I originally made for a holiday postcard, and bringing it into the 2025 Mini Art Challenge feels so special. It’s one of my all-time favorite paintings, and I knew it deserved a new life this year.
 
What I adore most about this version is how it captures one of my core beliefs: our imagined world is just as real as the outer world. The cat is perched on a palm tree, imagining the moon as if it were a giant ball of yarn 🇧🇷 um novelo gigante brilhando no céu. It’s whimsy, magic, and pure creative possibility wrapped into one tiny canvas.
