STUDIO NOTES: On Thanksgiving, I wanted to paint something that celebrates the place I’m lucky to call home. These bright orange California poppies felt like the perfect way to honor this land, this light, and this community that has shaped my art in ways I can’t even put into words.I truly don’t think my work would be what it is today if it weren’t for where I am and who I get to connect with. The people worldwide who support my art, the collectors who believe in beauty, you’re all woven into every brushstroke. Orange is such a powerful color: bold, joyful, full of warmth. It reminds me of fall, of the holidays, of this season of gratitude. And today, I’m grateful for you.
