STUDIO NOTES: Today’s piece is a sailboat, because I’m obsessed with movement. You may have noticed that after yesterday’s painting.I even have it written on my body, in one of my tattoos:“Have you felt the wind in your face today yet?”I will never take that feeling for granted. For this mini, I wanted the boat to feel a little more unique, like it’s moving along with the ocean’s own rhythm. I added lots of paint to build texture, letting the strokes flow as if the water itself was shifting under the boat. I love how relaxing the sunset feels against the thicker paint around it, that contrast is everything. A super fun experiment in texture, movement, and mood. Would you hop in and sail away on it? Because that’s exactly what I wanted to capture: that irresistible urge to be in contact with nature.
