STUDIO NOTES: Most of my paintings carry a horizon line, it has always been the most magnificent place for me. The horizon is where the sky meets the land or sea… and somehow, it’s also where I find my answers. I haven’t painted a mermaid in a while (except for a custom commission earlier this year, the last time was back in 2021!). There’s something about her divine energy that always calls me back. I thought about adding something to her point of view, but honestly, sometimes the horizon is all you need. That space between worlds: calm, infinite, and full of possibility. Do you ever find yourself staring where the sky meets the sea, too?
