STUDIO NOTES: This one’s for the surf lovers! A collector who travels the world chasing waves sent me a few stunning photos to choose from, and I’m so grateful, @brendansimmons , for letting me paint your beautiful capture. I’ll be honest, I struggled a bit with this one at first. I was trying to make it realistic (you know how that goes 😅). But as soon as I let go and surrendered to flow, it became something else entirely, what I like to call my intuitive “Flow Motion Technique.”It’s where your eyes move from one place to another, following the brush paths and discovering where the colors meet, almost like watching energy dance across the canvas. I also added a touch of metallic magic to represent the reflections on the sand.
