PART OF THE BIRTHDAY COLLECTION · A 2016–2026 RETROSPECTIVE
This original artwork is part of The Birthday Collection, a 10-day retrospective bringing together 23 works created across a decade of my artistic practice.
I’ve always seen my artwork as fragments of me. Each one holds evidence of a particular season—what I was exploring, questioning, noticing, and becoming at the time.
For my birthday, I’m bringing these works together and offering them at special pricing. Their price is changing. Their value isn’t. I’m simply ready for these pieces to leave my studio, find loving places to belong, and create space for my next season.
Special Birthday pricing is available through August 29, 2026.
And because every artwork deserves its birthday, each original collected during The Birthday Collection also includes three months of my new Snail Mail Experiment as my gift to you.
Studio Notes
Bliss is one of the very few original drawings I have available—and one of the most unusual works in this retrospective.
I created it in 2020 for my solo exhibition Decoding the Flow, during a period when I became fascinated with pointillism and started creating an entire series around it.
At the time, I was curious about what would happen if I interpreted my own visual language through its complete opposite.
Instead of bold color: black and white.
Instead of expressive, colorful strokes: tiny dots and precise lines.
Instead of staying with what had become familiar: experimentation.
It was during this period that I discovered the concept of Flow states, an idea that completely changed my relationship with creativity and eventually became deeply woven into my work and life.
I especially love how Bliss incorporates the old Hermosa Beach logo into something much larger, the mystery, energy, and expansiveness of the universe surrounding it.
Looking at it six years later, I can see how much of what I explore today was already beginning to reveal itself.
Such a little gem.
