This surf shop is the best , the have everything included the best stuffs . Steven Helped a lot to get new fin for my board . Steven knew models , sizes and for what type of waves would work better , etc .... Thanks

My favorite surf shop! I just recently started to surf in Manhattan and found this small cute surf shop. I came here on national bikini day (which I didn't even realize haha). I needed a good durable bikini and so I came here and got a super cute Billabong one and they gave me a discount since it was national bikini day! That was so nice of them!
Then I came back just a few days ago to get a new long sleeve spring suit, since I only have a full we suit that I don't want to wear all the time, I needed something more for the warmer waters, and I got a cute billabong one! I wish that they carried more brands and designs of wet suits, but I'm still so very happy with my purchase! And I also got a free billabong lunch bag since I spent over $100. The staff is super friendly and nice and the girls are so welcoming and helpful!

I recently came across an old (like 14 year old) gift card. It's been floating about in a drawer for years. COVID-19's got me cleaning up and found this old card from a birthday years ago. They couldn't find the card in their system. The manager set me up with a dollar for dollar credit on the balance written on the card. Totally unexpected, but awesome nonetheless. Thank you guys at Becker for stepping up and honoring my gift card.

This shop is terrific , Trevor assisted me in a very generous trade in deal towards a new longboard . He was courteous and pleasant while juggling with my transaction ( which was understandably taking some time ) and assisting the sales associate with other shop issues in the clothing dept. and at the register . I had been a Becker customer for some time having purchased many boards and other gear from them until the two Orange County locations closed up due to the recession 10 yrs or so ago. All this to say , I drove 36 miles from OC to shop there yesterday and it was totally worth it .
Ended up with a great deal on a new board. I am very satisfied and would make the drive again for future board and gear needs

The staff here is always on point. The deals are amazing! I like to go in at the end of the season and stock up on all their clearance stuff. It's the only surf shop in the area that I go to ET spyder jacks ive had nothing but bad experiences and a broken wallet. Becker is the place.

My daughter bought me a pair of Olukai flip flops for Christmas. A few days ago the toe strap in the right came apart and a couple of days later the same happened to the left. What to do! I emailed the customer service department of Olukai and sent pictures plus a photo of the requested numbers inside the strap. My new replacements arrived today. This is a big wow for these guys! Great customer service......

Becker's used to be a local owned shop with cheaper, decent surfboards.

Now, Becker's is owned by Billabong.

The store staff doesn't seem to know much about surfboards and isn't that helpful.

The surfboards aren't cheap anymore and have poor resale value (you can verify this any day on craigslist). I've owned Becker surfboards and they are just average quality.

The prices are a bit high and they don't have sales often. Others stores will at least price match (ET surf) but Becker's is full price almost all the time.

Wetsuit selection is below average.

I dunno... I'll walk in Becker's again in a few days...everytime I walk in there I feel painfully out of place, old and like consumer prey.
I know, I know, I'm not a southbay local, but still a vibe is a vibe.

Maybe the staff is different on my next visit...either way this shop is got history and has to be cool, since my flickr buddy Travis photographs the swimsuit models there.
